BURJ KHALIFA, DUBAI, UAE
From 2005 to 2009, PEGA was exclusively responsible for rack-and-pinion vertical transportation during the construction of the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa. The project pushed the limits of vertical transport and became one of the defining milestones in PEGA’s history.
425 m – World-record non-stop travel
611 m – Base station of the permanent spiral-top elevator
828 m – Final height of the building
4.5 years – Continuous operation during construction
The experience gained on Burj Khalifa continues to influence PEGA solutions for high-rise, industrial and mining projects worldwide.
